Hey Guys,
What would you think about organizing a Heroscape event in the Vancouver/Portland area for a Saturday in August? I'd love to have one in Seattle, but honestly there are more players in the Portland area.
Theme would be "Altered Scape" where we would allow
1. our customs (chance to showcase our work)
2. Competitive Unit Congress
3. Heroscapers customs - like Scytale's or IshMEL's
4. C3G Superheroes
I am thinking more of an Event than a tournament but we can have prizes too (which I can provide). We could use a format similar to Seattle's NHSD from last year where we have pre-built armies on specific maps. Players could also bring their own armies so we can some play-testing against other people's ideas.
I could email Roadrage and his crew to see if they could help out with map building, etc. I have plenty of prize support to bribe them for help.
My thought would be that we would have a "Passport" that each player would have stamped to show which Armies they played. The most stamps would get a prize as well. We could have a short feedback page on each Passport.
For the C3G, we could have a limited set of Heroes and Villains to show-down. If we did it Rolling Rumble style folks could choose to not play on C3G if they didn't want to. We could also reach out to Quolz and the local C3G players to see if they wanted to playtest anything with us.
If this seems like a good idea, the next step would be finding a weekend when Nomad and Huskies could make the trip down, and that is good for Derek and Company. And then reaching out to Dice Age for hosting space.
Let me know.
Peace,
*Kai
