Don't know much about this faction but ... what about a Regeneration power similar to an Ice Troll if ANFANG is adjacent to a Tree or Jungle Bush?

Could help with risking the wound to revive a Wood common figure.


COLD REGENERATE
After takig a turn with this Ice Troll Berserker, remove 1 wound marker from this Ice Troll Berserker's Army Card. If it is on a snow or ice space, remove 1 additional wound marker.

The faction has a whole seedling to large wildwood cycle that I thought Anfang would fit in, but he doesn't so definitely going to have to revisit some aspects here.

Why doesn't he fit into the Wildwood faction?

I thought he would fit in the life cycle so he could come back into play. It only works with med to large Wildwoods. Anfang should be a huge. So was thinking about dropping Reforestation, or upping life and lowering defense, or giving a healing property. As slow as the Wildwoods are a move bonus might be in order. I did one playtest against that 20-sided labor team while in Seattle and Anfang wasn't too great, although the Guardians were pretty effective.

Also, I don't know if Anfang should be a Monarch- Wildwood Monarch claims that title.  Perhaps Regent or Viceroy or Elder?

I like everything as designed. Elder sounds good, as does Stoic. But, think about Dauntless . . . that way there would be just a little bit of synergy with Stenvar. I am thinking a good place to start with the points would be about 120?

like Dauntless and really like light synergy with Stenvar- might have to look a little closer at that.

Powers and numbers all look great to me. A few more playtests to get the points spot on might be in order.

First effort at the card for Anfang. Wondering if the SA should also target adjacent Wood Woads . . .

Love the artwork on this card. Need some more playtests with any Wildwood figure for forest storm sa. Maybe unique Wildwood- not sure.

also dropping wood woads out of forest leadership. Outside of the changes I think Anfang is good to go if you do.
