There is a new "drider" just released:

More availability, so lower price for this mini.

What do you think about swapping the Bonding so he takes a turn after the Squad or Hero - and drop the 'unengaged' part?

I already have the original Drider, so let's stick with it. It was a gift from you, by the way. Perhaps the new released Drider can come in down the line.

The order of who takes a turn when kind of limits the points - if you aren't successful with the attack, then you can't take a turn with a squad/hero. So, do you risk an attack and just move him into a spot where he can protect with the web and then let his buddies do the work.

    Let me theory-scape some more . . .

OP updated with first attempt at card. I think I would like to keep the order of the bonding as is and the unengaged part intact for now to limit points and make Yazlochar more strategic to play.

Cool, we can play-test the Bonding as is.

    Army Ideas:
    #1
    Yazlochar ... 90
    Deepwyrm Drow x3 ... 300
    Estivara ... 380
    Bellochar ... 450
    Chain Fighter x2 .. 500

    * Since Yazlochar can bond with a Hero that would include the Chain Fighters.  Otherwise, I would totally drop the Marro Warriors in here for 50-points of range.

    #2
    Yazlochar ... 90
    Deepwyrm Drow x4 ... 370
    Bellochar ... 440
    Elaria the Pale ... 500

    * Elaria adds +1 to Hide in Darkness for the Drow. With Bellochar that could be a +7 (+1 Elaria, +6 Shadow).  This army lacks range and is very vulnerable to special attacks.

This figure played very well in the June 9th event.

The "Web" power was very effective against melee squads and stopped me from jumping on him to go after his Order Markers. It was well-played by my opponent, who stayed engaged with my Raelin so he couldn't take other turns but my squad figures couldn't make it up to him (he'd skitter to a different hex side to make it harder for me to reach him).

I'd say he's a great addition to the Drow faction.

Belochar (Shadowcast) was also very powerful (with Hide in Darkness at 10+) which was a big problem for my Army which lacked a Special Attack.

    But excellent design!!
